When we visited Selian Hospital in 1983, we happened to be there on laundry day. The freshly washed sheets were spread out on the grass to dry. At a later visit, they had upgraded to a laundry with commercial washer and dryer. Over time, the washer and dryer wore out. In 2018, they could still do wash, but they were hanging sheets out to dry on clotheslines so we bought a new commercial-grade washer and dryer. Hospitals go through a larger volume of laundry daily so this is a critical function.
